Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation is a first–person Android game where gamers need to complete military missions on different continents of the world. The user will have to parachute into enemy territories, fight with the enemy and fly heavily armed aircraft to cover the airspace. For successful completion of missions, the player is awarded bonus points and resources that are needed to improve weapons.

The game Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation gives the user the opportunity to:
- Performing special tasks. The gamer needs to complete new missions in different locations from Los Angeles to Pakistan. 13 special operations are available ("Thunder Hill", "Hostile Territories", "Chaos Factory", "Cold-Blooded", "Surgical Strikes", "Bloody Sand" and others).
- Match selection. A gamer can perform joint tasks with friends or other users via the network. The multiplayer has several game modes ("Capture the flag", "Fight in the sky on helicopters", "Chase 4 vs 4", "Destruction of enemies on location" and "Escort").
- Character improvements. The player can unlock additional skills (weapons expert, anatomy scientist, field specialist, and others) by increasing the rank of a soldier while completing missions. You can also upgrade weapons (assault rifles, machine guns, pistols, shotguns, etc.) from the character's arsenal to reduce the level of recoil, inflict increased damage and other parameters.
- Gameplay settings. In the main menu, the user can choose a convenient way to control the character (swipe movements on the touch screen or gyroscope), the volume of special effects, graphics, and so on.
