Kirov Buses is an application that monitors the movement of public transport in the city of Kirov based on GPS modules and helps the user to find out when the bus or trolleybus of interest will arrive at the stop. The program monitors all active routes and shows the selected branch, which does not load the map by drawing extra cars.
Features
In addition to Kirov, you can select the city of Syktyvkar in the application settings. This is due to the gradual expansion by developers of the network of the covered area. Other features:
- Accurate determination of the direction of movement and location. Each minibus has a global navigation satellite system that captures sensor readings and updates the map every few seconds.
- Zooming the map. You can zoom in and out of the terrain plan not only by spreading and moving two fingers on the screen, but also using separate "+" and "–" buttons.
- "About the program". A page with the name and version of the application, a brief description, a link to the developers' website and resources from which data on the location of minibuses and buses are taken.
- Traffic jams. Through the main menu, you can enable an option that allows you to demonstrate the current fullness of the city's roads with an indication of the places of the main congestion of traffic.
- Routes. Not only city buses from 1 to 90 are available, but also suburban public taxis 101-168 and seven trolleybus numbers.
Advantages and disadvantages
Advantages of the Kirov Buses program:
- original Google Maps map;
- color designation of traffic jams;
- the ability to add a route to the favorites category to display at the top of the list;
- clicking on the stop shows all the vehicles disembarking at the selected point;
- no ads.
Cons:
- due to server failures, the current coordinates of minibuses are indicated incorrectly;
- the app does not always work correctly on new phones.
